Medium Dark Roast Coffee Beans
Medium dark is where we take a coffee for chocolate and caramel without giving up all its fruit. We push it just past City Roast, to what roasters call City+, close enough to second crack for the sugars to caramelise properly, not so close that the origin flavour disappears under roast character. The beans come out larger and more even than a lighter roast, and the cup follows suit: rounder, richer, with the fruitier edges of a lighter roast still just visible underneath the chocolate and caramel.
